UCL Graduate Law Society

Our Story

Welcome to the Graduate Law Society (GLS) official website! Here, we intend to provide many academic/career-related opportunities and social events, to ultimately make this year as exciting and memorable as possible for the 2021/2022 graduate cohort.

Our main aim for this year is to build a close, friendly, supportive and inclusive legal community!

Moreover, the GLS Committee wants to create a space for students to be heard. We thus intend to have an open-door policy whereby everyone would have a say in the society's construct.

What I like about UCL law: I enjoy the flexibility in studying a wide variety of modules.
Fun Fact: I have a GIF for every situation.
Known for: Being like Monica from Friends.

Shirin Singh

What I like about UCL law: I quite like how accessible the members of the faculty are.
Fun Fact: I once featured in a TV advertisement for umbrellas in a language I didn't speak or understand.
Known for: Making playlists for everything, even a 15-minute drive.

What I like about UCL law: I enjoy the complex approach during courses and the academic freedom granted by UCL.
Fun Fact: I wanted to become a dustman when I was five years old.
Known for: Being enthusiastic about anything related to cycling.

Fun Fact: I wanted to be a chef when I was a kid.
Known for: Being good at trivia nights.

Anvesha Panda

Marketing and Tech Officer

Specialism: International Commercial Law.
What I like about UCL Law: I enjoy the ample amount of opportunities (academics and otherwise) that UCL provides.
Fun Fact: I wanted to be an astronaut as a child, although my knowledge of physics was 'relatively dead'.
Known for: Painting, teaching kids and therapy hugs!
